e, low cost and convenient maintenance, vane pump is widely adopted in many industrial areas. Most of domestic manufacturer of fuel dispenser install vane pump as component. Vane pump includes ration pump and variable pump, the former is mounted in fuel dispenser. At recent years, the domestic noise research for vane pump has been achieved good progress conducted by fuel dispenser manufacturer. The noise of vane pump has remarkably been downed, reaching to less than 70 d B. it is introduced as followed: 1: Cap nut 2: Adjusting bolt 3: Spring seat 4: Spring 5: Blade 6: Rotor 7: Plug 8: Spring flake 9: Axis 10: Frame 11: Overflow valve 12: Valve seat Diagram 2-1: Vane pump structure drawing Structure and working principle of vane pump The Diagram 2-1 and 2-2 illustrate one kind of vane pump about its structure and tridim fuel dispenser ensional exploded drawing. This kind of pump prevails in domestic fuel dispenser market. Its structure, principle and maintenance will be introduced. Vane pump consists of overflow valve and vane pump illustrated in Diagram 2-1. Overflow valve is installed on the upper of body, including overflow valve seat, vale core, spring, spring bracket, jointer, adjusting bolt and cap nut. The lower body is pump section composed of gliding bearing, rotor subassembly, blade set, spring flat and pump cover with gliding bearing. The right side of diagram is inlet, the opposite outlet. The working principle, performance and common troubleshooting of vane pump and overflow valve will be presented respectively. Vane pump section The chamber in where rotor installed is pump chamber, its installing procedure showed in diagram 2-3. A centrifugal degree e between the center of chamber and rotor is illustrated in diagram. There are upper and down seal area, high pressure and low pressure transitional area, divide fuel dispenser d by the center of rotor. The angular degree in sealing area is larger than that of degree formed by the neared two vanes so as to prevent oil flow between low and high pressure areas. 1-Cap fuel dispenser

e POS and EPS Server. There are a number of libraries and toolkits available from Microsoft and other sources that can be used to accomplish this. This solution requires more resources than the TCPIP sockets. 7.4 SMTPPOP The basic idea is to use SMTP as the transport protocol. The XML document itself is transported in the mail body. This requires a mail account at the mail server for each communication party. One major advantage of using SMTPPOP as the transport protocol is the low system requirement at both sides EPS server and POS system. It is reduced to one mail server (e.g.located at the system of the EPS server) and that both applications have to support the SMTP and POP protocol. One major disadvantage is that both applications POS and EPS are totally isolated from each other as the commu fuel dispenser nication is done via the mail server. So the POS does not know whether its request reached the EPS server or is parked at the mail server as the EPS server is out of duty e.g. it crashed. Introducing a heartbeat function which is also realised via mail may eliminate this disadvantage but this increases the network traffic and the system load. Another disadvantage is that use of the 歱ublic mail server may cause security problemes. To cope with these two disadvantages the following approach could be used: include an own simple mail server into the EPS server package instead of using the systems one (using own SMTP port). August 2002 IFSF STANDARD FORECOURT PROTOCOL FP319_1.00 EPS POS INTERFACE SPECIFICATION Page 86 of 146 This approach shows benefit for system status diagnonsys and testing but involves some development and overhead. An alternative is nearly the fuel dispenser same as a direct TCPIP socket communication but using the standardised SMTP protocol (not using the SMTP port 25). In this scenario bo fuel dispenser

ng out with the film, and seven TV specials airing this month, it is bringing a lot of money to a lot of people. Pity about the book. © 2006 . About sponsorship Lobbying reform A tap on the wrist May 18th 2006 From The Economist print edition Did that hurt? So sorry, didn t mean it to MEMBERS of the second-oldest profession in Washington, DC, did not need to worry about the “lobbying reform bill that passed the House early in May. It is a toothless sham. The Senate s version of the bill, passed at the end of March, is a bit less lax, but not much. The two bills will now be painlessly reconciled. Even the premise of the reform is illusory. The drive for change ostensibly came from the scandal surrounding Jack Abramoff, a mega-lobbyist; but fuel dispenser Mr Abramoff was prosecuted for fraud and bribery, which are already illegal. Congress claimed to want to regulate the everyday practice of lobbying. It hardly tried. For lobbyists, of course, are hugely useful. They are the main conduits for precious campaign dollars. They provide prized intelligence on political strategy. Best of all, they hold out the promise of employment when public service ends. Nearly half of all congressmen who left office between 1998 and 2004 went on to become lobbyists, according to Public Citizen, a watchdog group. Egregious examples of the revolving door are not hard to find. The Bush administration s chief climate-change official, for instance, was a former lobbyist for big oil companies and recently left the White House to work at Exxon Mobil. Similarly, Billy Tauzin, who headed the congressional panel overseeing the pharmaceutical industry, took the reins of the drug-makers lobbying group as soon as he left office at the start of 2005. Under current l fuel dispenser aw, members of Congress and senior aides must wait a year, after stepping down, before lobbying their former colleagues. Even if this “cooling-offperiod is extended to two years, as fuel dispenser
